H3Split is a static tool. The site itself collects nothing about you. Third-party services (Google AdSense, a CDN) do collect some information to serve ads and files — this page explains what and why.
Summary
- H3Split does not have user accounts and does not run its own server-side logging.
- H3 cell IDs you paste into the tool are processed entirely in your browser. They are not sent to H3Split or any third party.
- Google AdSense serves the ads on this site and uses cookies to personalise them. You can opt out of personalisation.
- A content delivery network (jsDelivr) serves the h3-js JavaScript library. Loading it leaves standard web-server log entries on jsDelivr's infrastructure.
What H3Split itself collects
Nothing persistent. The site is a set of static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files served from a static-site host. The HTML runs entirely in your browser; no form submissions, no accounts, no databases on our side. The cells you paste into the tool stay on your device.
Google AdSense
Advertising on H3Split is provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. These may include:
- The DoubleClick DART cookie, which Google uses to serve ads based on visits to our sites and other sites on the internet.
- Device identifiers, browser information, and (coarse) location data for ad targeting and frequency capping.
- Analytics data about ad impressions and clicks.
Google's use of advertising cookies is covered by their own policies, which we don't control. You can read Google's advertising privacy information at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Opting out
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google and participating partner networks:

- Using a browser-level setting such as "Block third-party cookies" or an ad blocker — H3Split works perfectly well with ads blocked.
Third-party JavaScript (CDN)
The h3-js library that performs the actual cell-splitting is loaded from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net). Loading this script sends your browser's standard request headers (user agent, IP address, referrer) to jsDelivr. We do not have access to those logs. jsDelivr's privacy policy is available at jsdelivr.com/terms/privacy-policy-jsdelivr-net.
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) serves the typefaces used on this site. Loading them is subject to Google's privacy policy.
Hosting
H3Split is hosted on a commercial static-site hosting provider that keeps standard web-server access logs (IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, user agents) for operational and security purposes. We do not access or use those logs for analytics.
Children
H3Split is a technical utility aimed at developers and data analysts. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because H3Split itself does not store personal data, most data-subject rights don't apply to us directly — there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete on your behalf. For data held by Google AdSense in connection with your use of this site, please exercise your rights through Google's own privacy controls.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of the page. For significant changes we'll do our best to post a notice on the home page for a reasonable period.
